Meet face-to-face in Oaxaca the indigenous reality that includes a variety of ethnic cultures, traditional cuisine, arts and handicrafts. Learn of the challenges for education and agricultural sustainability. Understand the reasons for increased emigration from this southern state and the struggle for inclusion in a society with different values.

This program will include most (or all) of the following:

Walk the historic center of Oaxaca City
- Visit area villages known world-wide for the quality of their indigenous arts and handicrafts

Become aware of human rights issues in the state of Oaxaca

Walk around El Tule--2000+ year old Cypress tree

Visit a women's cooperative

Learn how people's lives are impacted by policy

* $150.00 late registration fee.
Airfare not included. All trips include transportation (except taxi to airport at the end of the trip), accomodations, and food (except one meal).
